5 Ways To Scale Through The New Week

It’s the start of a new week, the day a lot of people dread.

While I was in the banking sector, Monday was the day that gave me the most palpitations.

Why?

You could NEVER predict how the day would start, whether with a long queue at the entrance even before 8am,the official opening hour ,

Or with just a trickle that could be attended to after which you got on with other things before it became busy.

You also could not tell how the office ‘ shenanigans’ would play out🤦.

The passing years attending and giving my best to my customers , taught me a few tricks to deal with what I dubbed, ‘ The Monday Slammer’😁.

My recipe;

✅ Saying to yourself,”Monday is a day of the week like any other”.

✅ Preparing yourself physically ( looking your best self ALWAYS makes you feel confident)

✅Tuning your mind to the job at hand and leaving behind ANY distractions that could interfere with your day

✅Bringing your best self from the weekend to execute your duties to the best of your ability( that’s why it’s good to take advantage of the weekend to rest and be refreshed,as much as possible)

✅ Accepting that after putting your best foot forward for the week and things still go South, don’t beat yourself up.Take the learnings, move on and try to do better next time.

Bonus Tip 👇,

✅ Imbibing a positive attitude through prayer, words of affirmation and a rancor free heart (be prepared, you will receive offense in the office or wherever you operate)

The above are a few tips I used and still using to sail through each week and here’s hoping it works for someone out there too👌.

Note, they may or may not work for everyone , as we are all different individuals with different physical, emotional and even phschological make-up.

Just do what works for you to help you sail through the day and the week.

Here’s what I wish you today and every other Monday (if you don’t drink coffee ☕ please substitute😊).
